KANE

The musical journey began in the early 90’s when a handful musicians from different local bands formed the rock band Kane. After several changes in the line-up and the release of two demo recordings (First Warning & Ballad Of Pain) in the early 1990s, the band established a notable and loyal audience. In 1996, Kane released their debut album No Sun Rising and followed up with a tour as support act for Michael Landau’s Raging Honkies during their 1997 German Boner tour as well as one-off show for T.M Stevens in Hamburg, Germany.  The well-known German music magazine RockHard released the single Separate Ways on one of their Compilation CD in 1998.

Back home, Kane began immediately the songwriting for their next album without knowing that this would become the most challenging project in their band history. The new songs emerged with a musical connection and the lyrics created a story-line about a fictional time travel. Kane fused these ideas into the concept album 5th dimension which was recorded and produced 1999 in Hamburg, Germany.

Later that year, the band’s record label, however, decided out of the blue to withdraw from the contract and ceased all support for the band. Unfortunately, Kane was unable to secure a new record label and never released 5th dimension officially. Kane never recovered from this turning point and finally split up in the new millennium.

Kane's legacy are beautifully crafted, progressive hard rock songs that leave a lasting impression on every listener and true music enthusiast.

Thank you to all who supported us during this awesome and intense decade. We hope to see you . . . Somewhere, Someday!
